Some "Week in the life" photos

It's been a pretty bad few days, but in order to focus on something good, I thought I would post some of the photos I took today for my scrapbooking project. I'm pretty excited about it and I hope it turns out as cool as Ali Edward's does. I just wish I could remember to take photos throughout the day.

Morning photo. I never realized how tired I look when I leave for work.

Best lunch ever! Veggie Low Mein and cheese wontons!!! I could eat this every day.

Mmmm... healthy pumpkin pie! I forgot to take a picture in between lunch and pumpkin pie. I went to the gym and ate dinner, THEN came home and made healthy pumpkin pie. I'm so domestic.

Favorite part of the day, a hot bath.

My other favorite part of the day, bedtime!

What a loser...

I'm assuming that since I haven't received a call about the dream nursery contest and the top 3 are supposed to be on air tomorrow morning, that I didn't win. Boohoo. Anyone want to give Brett and I a $2000 nursery?? Flavia?

Found!

I found the baby bedding for our little girl! It's so cute but not over the top cutesy! And, there is orange in it! L.O.V.E. Now we just have to buy it. I hope we like it in person, this is only an online store, so we can't see it or touch it before we buy it. Oh well, we can always return it.

UPDATE!
I found it at a bunch of stores around here, including Babies R Us, so I can totally go see it in person! Yay!

Ah crap, I'm gonna scrapbook!

One of my favorite people I've discovered since becoming a part of the scrapbooking world is Ali Edwards. She always puts out a "weekend creative" project on her blog and this one I have decided to do! It's called "A Week in the Life" and it documents one week in your life, all the mundane boring aspects that, at some point, might be nice to look back, or at least our little girl might like to, maybe? So I think some of you should do it with me. I know Jenna and Sara scrapbook, and I know you check this blog, and I know you have lots of crap to do this project with. So do it!

Our Photo Shoot!

Last Saturday Brett, myself and Stella had our photos taken. The photographer was having a sale, so it was super cheap. I'm not sure it was such a great idea for me to have my picture taken at this point, and I have to say it was a horrible idea for me to wear a white shirt! White is not slimming. And I don't think the photographer was very good, there are only a few that we actually like. Good thing we didn't spend much on these. Here are a few that we liked. As always, Stella was the star of the shoot. She is beautiful!

Vote for ME!

And our baby...

Let me start from the beginning. My sister-in-law is amazing. She enters contests and actually wins them. Her latest win... a trip to Paris! Hopefully she's ok with me sharing that. But it's just so cool! So, she has sent me a few contests to enter. For this one I need YOUR help. It's a radio station that is giving away $2000 for Babinskis. If you vote for me and I end up being one of the top 3 then I go on air where they announce the winner. I really don't want to be on air, but I want to win! So, go here and vote for me, please, please, please, please!!!! Voting starts tomorrow at 7 am and ends on September 26. You can only vote once per email address, so if you have more than one email address, you can vote more than once! HA! (I don't know if that's totally legal) I entered the photo of me that I posted on this blog a few weeks ago, I'm in a pink shirt, pointing at my belly. Sorry, no sick cleavage, like some of the other contestants, and the belly is fully covered, unlike some of the other sick-o contestants as well. I'm not sure what people were thinking with the photos they entered, but whatever. ALSO, be sure to put in a valid email address because they send a verifying email to that address that you have to click on to make your vote count! SO check your email and verify your vote after you click on #92!!

VOTE HERE- I'm #92 so you will have to scroll through to see my pic, or you can just click the little #92 button and not worry about the photo at all!!

Also, please keep voting for Stella!! It doesn't sound like the votes really make a difference, because there will be a panel of judges that determine the winner, but still, I don't want her to feel like people don't like her! HAHAHA.

Vote here for Stelly.

My sister and the White House

My brother-in-law has worked for the government for a long time. As a result, my sister gets to go to fancy parties at the White House. She sent me this picture this morning and I thought it was too cool not to post. She has long (yes that is long for Dana) BLOND hair! I can't believe how white it is, it's awesome! And she's wearing the dress I got her for my wedding. She said it was the most uncomfortable evening ever because of that dress. HA! But she looks beautiful!

Vote for Stelly!

So I entered Stella in a pretty pet contest on WeTv.com. If we win, we get $5000! We probably won't win cause people think some ugly little chinchilla is cute, but we could at least try! So go here and vote for her!! Vote lots and lots! You can vote as many times as you want.

Go here and vote for her!!

Boy or Girl?

Brett and I had our ultrasound this morning. We were right on schedule, until we hit traffic, then we were 25 minutes late for the actual appointment. They were able to still fit us in, which I was so glad for. I only had time for a glass of orange juice for breakfast, and I had heard that oj really makes the baby move and I wanted to see it moving! Once the ultrasound started the tech was telling me it wouldn't stop moving long enough to measure easily. I admitted to the glass of oj and she thanked me for putting my kid on speed. HA! So first she started measuring the head and the belly and checking to make sure it had all its parts (which it does!). Then finally she said, "Well do you want me to tell you the gender if it flashes me?" OF COURSE! So when we made it down to that region, she looked a few times and said, "Well, girls don't tend to have much to show down here." My thoughts, "soooo.... does this mean it's a girl?" Finally she said, "Yup, there's nothing dangling down here, it's a girl!" So there you go folks, Brett and I are having a baby girl! We are so excited and I am in shock. I just didn't think I would have a girl first. With all the boys in both our families I thought for sure we would be having a boy. But I can't wait to meet our little girl! Now it's time to go shopping!

Happy Birthday!

Today my favorite person in the whole world turned the big 2-9! I had a really hard time trying to figure out what to buy him, but settled on framing some of his photography and prints, a hoody and some new shirts (that he has to pick out cause I don't do a good job of that). Basically he picked out everything I gave him, but he still really liked it all. Tonight I made him dinner and he got to eat off of our red "You are special today" plate. I also made him a cake and got his favorite ice cream to top it all off!

I love you so much Brett and couldn't be happier. Thanks for all you do for me. You make life better in every way!
