Pool time

We recently took Gwen to the pool for the first time. She seemed to enjoy it. More than anything I enjoyed seeing her in her little swimming suit. She is adorable!!

Check me out

I scrapbook, mostly because I have to as part of my job. But it's kind of fun when you don't have to pay for anything and it doesn't make a mess in your own house.

Go here and see a BRILLIANT tip from me.

Reading Lesson

Though Gwen doesn't want to roll over, every other cognitive development is right on schedule. In no time at all, she'll be asking me to read books her.

...well, if she's anything like her parents, she'll want us to turn the pages so she can just look at the pictures.

I figure reading will be good for her. If she isn't going to crawl away, she will have to find something to do to entertain herself while she just lays there. Then, I remembered a quick reading lesson I saw on TV once. A couple dozen watches of this clip, and she'll be able to write her own autobiography by age 3! Why should I parent when TV is willing to do it for me?

Will someone...

throw a party like this for my birthday? We might have to move to San Francisco first.

Poops & Giggles

That awesome title is brought to you from an awesomely bad scrapbooking website, but it describes, so well, what Gwen's days consist of. She has started to laugh and talk A LOT lately, it's so fun. Here's a little video of her giggling, not the best example of how much she is laughing, but still pretty cute.

UGH, Spiedi....

More tv posts, I can't help it, I love tv. For those that know and love The Hills, you will get a kick out of how crazy Spencer and Hiedi are. They were recently on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which was like a train wreck I couldn't stop watching. In the clip below they are being interviewed by Al Roker and, yet again, proving what awful people they are.

PS, Lacy brought this clip to my attention via FB. Thanks Lacy.

I Will Not Be Replaced!!

Stelly gets jealous of Gwen, as apparent by this photo.

We had just gotten our new car and were on our way home from Idaho. We put Gwen in her seat and the she pooped, of course, so we took her out. When we came back to the car to put her back in her seat this is what we found. We did not stage this. Stella found her seat and was ready to go. Poor little pup feels a little left out these days.

The Princess & the Frog

Gwen has a best friend. His name is Froggy. He's green with an orange belly and plays pretty music when you pull on his head. Gweny loves her little Froggy. She loves him so much that she HAS to have him when we are in the car or the stroller or sitting in her bouncy chair, pretty much always. Sometimes she sucks on his hands and sometimes she just holds his hands.

Tonight we went for a walk and brought along her little friend. She held his hand the whole time we were out, even when she was asleep.

Official Decision

Those that love SYTYCD will understand this post, others will think I am stupid for posting about this... I just watched the first episode of the top 20 show of So You Think You Can Dance and I have made my official decision. Phillip will win, I could care less about the girl dancing with him, I just like him. The end.

What do we do if a train comes?

That was the first question I asked when Brett, Jeff, Ash and myself walked across the train bridge while in Idaho a few weeks ago. Brett's answer.... "Just move to the side" Sure! Just move to the side, while on a bridge. All I have to say is I'm really glad a train didn't come.

I wasn't the only one that was terrified, Stella had to be carried across the bridge by her Uncle Jeffy, poor pup has small legs and the space between the ties was big!

Gwen fell asleep while we were walking, it sure didn't look comfortable, but it was adorable.

I would post pictures of Jeff and Ash, but Ash would kill me.

Roley Poley

Gwen rolled over for the first time on Wednesday the 3rd! It was so exciting I almost cried. She hasn't shown any interest in doing anything but laying completely still so it was shocking. Sure she hasn't done it since, but we at least know she can do it if she chooses to.
