Anything better?

A happy Tara

That's right folks, I love me some Babs, and she has a concert on CBS that I am enjoying as I write this and eat some really yummy gnocchi while little G naps. The only thing that would have made this day any better is if G hadn't thrown up all day after I gave her formula that her tummy apparently hates.

Inspire

THIS makes me want to scrapbook. This is why people should scrapbook, and if you know me, you know I am not a big proponent of scrapbooking (eventhough I work for a scrapbooking company, buy our stuff please!) But I feel such pressure to make my pages look amazing that I just don't even want to start. But I want to remember our lives like she does.

Oh Blessed Day

Today we blessed Gwen. And the turn out was amazing! She's one popular kid! Here I was thinking the circle would be relatively small, until Brett reminded me that he has a whole gaggle of family that live around here. When they asked Brett to come forward with little G, I think about 12 men followed him up there. Brett gave a great blessing, blessing Gwen with a few things twice! He wanted to make sure the Lord really heard him with those particular issues.

After the blessing we all headed up to my brother's house for some lunch. I was a little stressed trying to get everything together, so I completely forgot to take pictures, until everyone was gone. But we had a great time visiting with everyone and we are so grateful that everyone came to share this special day with us and our beautiful daughter. Thanks to everyone for traveling so far and being so kind. We are very blessed to have such loving family and friends.

I did get quite a few pictures of Gwenyth in her dress, which by the way was the one I was blessed in 29 years ago!

Evan really got dressed up for the occassion

Cute family photo....

And then she pooped... loudly, notice the consentration face

When we got home we went to take a bath to relax, Stells came running in the bathroom and jumped right in to Gwen's moses basket, then acted like G was in her way. It was hilarious.

Heeeyyy Graduate

This was a busy weekend. It started out with my cute little niece graduating from Eagle Gate with an Associates in Graphic Design. I like to think she is following in her really cool Aunt's footsteps, but somehow I don't think that is the case. Although I did get her a rockin' job at MM with me. My mom and dad were able to come and join in on the festivities too!

Jenny will be continuing on to get her BFA from Weber or the U, I'm rooting for the U, but we will see.

Doggy OZ

It's been a few weeks since our last trip to Idaho. So, why am I just writing this now? It's a very emotional topic, and it's only recently I have found the strength to talk about it. My story starts on Christmas time when my parents got a new puppy.

We got to my parent's house late Friday night. I walked into the room we were staying in, unaware that Annie was already in there. She scrambled under the bed to hide her actions, but I distinctly saw a Bischon Frize giving her a tribal band tattoo around her left front leg. I tried to ignore it, but in the morning, Annie's tail was even docked AND pierced! I asked mom about the company Annie keeps, and all she did is start crying.

Saturday morning, I put Gwen down for a nap. By the time I put my shoes on and got outside to walk Stella, I see Annie trying to sell Gwen to a completely shaved Chow.

She tried to steal my social security card from my wallet.
She stole Tara's sandwich.
She doesn't even care about going outside to go to the bathroom.

The worst offense happened as we were getting ready to leave. Out of nowhere, Annie comes around the corner and tried to shank Stella! During the night, she had stolen my tooth-brush and filed it to a point. Luckily, I was able to get this picture to help convict her of attempted murder and add another 6 years to her probation.

TOYS!!

A good friend of mine sent us all these toys for Gwen, she loves them!

And this is her little gym that she also loves.

A little video...

Gwen loves to spit these days and we managed to capture a little of it.

Happy Easter!

We went to church today but had to leave early to go home and bathe a very poopy Gwen. Then we went on a walk and spent time with Brett's family. It was a great day! Enjoy some cute photos of our little gorgeous little girl. The red dress was actually mine when I was a baby. Weird to think I was ever that little and very special that now my little girl can wear it.

Bakerella

That's me! Sure I stole that name from another woman's blog, but who cares! Since I've been on maternity leave I have started baking a ton. And while I LOVE to cook and bake, it's not the best thing while trying to lose the absurd amount of baby weight I gained. I made these beauties from scratch over Conference weekend. And since we spent an absurd amount of money on a shiny new camera, I had to take an artsy picture of them.

Whacked out mommy dreams

I've recently been having some crazy dreams. I thought the crazy dreams were just a pregnancy thing, but they have continued. I have the same dream almost every night. I dream that I am feeding the baby then I lay her down on my lap and fall asleep. Doesn't sound too crazy, right? Well then I wake up from the dream and panic that I have lost Gwen! I can't find her anywhere, I look under the covers and on the floor, I think the first time I had the dream I even looked in the closet. I'm awake when I am panicking, and yelling at Brett to find the baby! Then he starts to panic too. This morning I woke up and started looking around for Gwen and Brett had to tell me over and over that she wasn't on my lap, she was in her crib. Terrifying.

The best dream I had was dreaming about Gwen's first words. She was the size she is now and started talking. Want to guess what her first words were? "Oh my gosh," said in the smallest little baby voice ever. It was adorable! But in my dream, I was mortified that my baby's first words were "Oh my gosh." I didn't think that I even said that phrase enough for her to pick it up. Brett is jealous of this dream and hopes that he will have the same dream some day. Maybe if we talk about it enough he will have a similar one.

Finally finished

It's only taken 2 months, but we have finished Gwen's birth announcement! And, we might actually get it sent out this week... maybe. The pink rectangle with the white G is actually a metal embellishment from Making Memories, so it looks cuter in person than on screen.
