Our little angel
We had paid for some pictures to be taken of me when I was pregnant, but we decided to cancel those because my friend took some awesome pictures of me for free. But because we had already paid for them, we couldn't get the money back. So we decided to use that money to take pictures of Gwen.
When the photographer, Sara Boulter, came over, we both said, "You look so familiar." It turns out that I was friends with the her for one week in 1997. We were in the same group at an EFY in San Diego when we were 17. We even had pictures of each other in our photo albums. It was so funny that we were able to place each other after so many years!
Well she did an amazing job! I've only seen one picture so far, but it's beautiful! And she is wearing the blanket my grandma crocheted for me before she passed away a few years ago. So it's even more special. We can't wait for the rest of the pictures to be up!

Oma and Pops
My mom came to help us out for the first 2 weeks of Gwenyth's life. My dad came to pick her up last Friday and they both left on Sunday. It was such a great help to have my mom here and it was fun to see them both with Gwen. Yesterday was my first day alone with the baby... it was HARD. I was exhausted by the time Brett got home and could barely wake up to feed her throughout the night. Today went better, but I sure wish my mom could move to Utah and live with us, at least until Gwen is old enough to sleep through the night. Probably that won't happen, but a girl can dream!
I walked into the room the other night to see this. She was just relaxing, watching some tv. I think her daddy may have helped her get into this position.

2 weeks and counting...
On Friday night we had to take Gwen to the kids insta care. She had a very goopy eye and we were worried about it. It turned out to be an eye infection that has since cleared up, with the help of some antibiotics. This is her getting ready to go.
Today we took her to her 2 week check up. She is perfect, according to the pediatrician! She now weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. However she is only 19.5 inches long, not 20.5 like the hospital originally said. Apparently she had a cone head that added a little extra height.
They had to prick her heals to get blood to do some tests. Sounds simple, right? Well it was TORTURE! They had to prick both heals with the little pin things and then they went and got a bigger pin, which I think was just a regular old push pin, to try and get more blood to come out faster. It didn't work very well, the nurse still had to squeeze her foot to even get a drop out. The nurse said Gwen is not a good bleeder and she hasn't had a baby like that in a long time. She screamed bloody murder the whole time. As soon as it was over and I could just hold her, she calmed down and slept for hours. She was so exhausted she couldn't even wake up to eat. Poor little thing.
Her Aunt Ashleigh asked for some more pictures, so here you go Ash!
And for Lacy and Flavia, I have NOT forgotten about Stelly. She has a new box that holds all of her toys. She has discovered how to pull that box out and search for the toys she wants. She usually takes one toy at a time out and brings it to us, until all of her toys are sprawled all over the floor. It's adorable!
And I still cuddle with her. The other day I had both my girls curled up on my lap. This picture is looking down on us.

IT'S UP!! IT'S UP!!!
Check me out! I finally put up my new website!
We are still refining Tara's half of the site. Once that is ready to go, we can put it up as well. I'm so excited! Oh, it looks better if you are using something other than Explorer. You will still be able to see it, but it's not as pretty.
